Sachin Tendulkar Early Life

Tendulkar was born into a Maharashtrian family at the Nirmal Nursing Home in Dadar, Bombay. During his school days, Tendulkar had training from Ramakant Achrekar, a renowned club cricket player at Shivajipark, who was named after his father, Sachin Dev Buran, who was his favourite music director.

He attended the Indian Education Society’s New English School in Bandra, but he transferred to Sharadashram Vidyamandir High School in Dadar, which was well-known for its cricket programme, at his coach’s recommendation. He played club cricket in addition to scholastic cricket, and he eventually represented India’s Club Cricket.

Later, he received fast bowling training at the MRF Pace Foundation in Chennai. However, Dennis Lillee—who holds the world record with 335 Test wickets—advised him to give up fast bowling in favour of focusing on his batting skills. He focused more on honing his batting techniques than his fast bowling after Dennis Lilee’s advice.
